Since 2001, DEUTA has been offering A-level graduates a solid academic education combined with practical experience as part of its dual study programme. Theory and practice alternate systematically every three months and build logically on one another. During the three-year programme, students are employed by DEUTA. They receive a training contract with an attractive training allowance. This provides them with financial security, allowing them to concentrate fully on their studies. During the practical phase, they are involved in exciting projects that always have a practical focus. Our flat hierarchies facilitate direct communication with the development departments.

The theoretical training (50% of the total training period) takes place at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Mannheim in three-month blocks. The DHBW Mannheim offers an attractive study programme that is tailored to the real-world conditions and requirements of the labour market and businesses.
Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering
Engineers specialising in information technology are constantly faced with new challenges at the interface between computer systems and technical applications. They develop sophisticated models for controlling processes and then implement these in hardware or software. The Information Technology degree programme provides students with a solid grounding in the fields of information technology and business administration. In addition, students acquire important interdisciplinary skills such as project management, professional presentation techniques and IT law.
For anyone interested in the natural sciences and innovative technologies, electrical engineering offers a wide range of opportunities for professional and personal development. Prior knowledge of the natural sciences or engineering can help you grasp complex concepts more quickly.

Specialisation in Automation
Students specialising in Automation learn the concepts and functions of automation and control systems. Courses and laboratory sessions covering measurement and control technology, right through to the fundamentals of systems theory, round off the theoretical training. Two course projects on different specialisation topics ensure a broad-based education and provide in-depth knowledge of various specialist areas. Graduates of the ‘Automation’ programme are able to develop, monitor and control even complex processes within automation and monitoring systems
Specialisation in Electronics
Students specialising in electronics develop, monitor and control electronic devices, equipment and systems. They operate and manage sophisticated transmission systems and complex communication networks. By applying electronic components and semiconductor materials, as well as modern microelectronics, they implement innovative solutions and make everyday life easier for many people. Integrated micro-miniaturised circuits (ICs, microprocessors) in the form of embedded systems are now essential components of modern living and working environments.

Aus neuesten wissenschaftlichen Verfahren und Informationstechnologien entstehen komplexe Lösungen, die über die Grenzen von Computer-Hardware und -Software hinausgehen. Sie umfassen auch unternehmerische und technische Abläufe, das Abgrenzen von Verantwortungsbereichen und Spezifika des jeweiligen Fachgebiets, für das Lösungen erarbeitet werden.
