The new PZB90 ATP system for Germany and Austria

The modern PZB ATP complete solution:

  • Certified in accordance with the latest operator requirements
  • Addresses security vulnerabilities identified during years of PZB use in existing installations (DB)
  • Compared to legacy systems currently available on
    the market, it complies with the latest standards in terms of
    • Railway standard (EN50155)
    • Fire safety (EN45545)
    • Functional safety (EN5012x) an subsequent standards
  • Prepared for the Cyber Security Resilience Act'
    (CRA), which comes into force in 2027


Can be extended using connectors to:

  • 2x DMI units with safety equipment, in accordance with Deutsche Bahn technical regulations (e.g. DATS3080)
  • 2x PZB magnetic readers via CAN bus
  • Various speed sensors, e.g. Hall sensors (Pick-Up HS22) or alternative axle encoders (DF16), approved in accordance with system-specific vehicle requirements
  • Driver’s cab controls and switches via bus or discrete wiring
  • ETCS EVC
