DEUTA's modular driver's cab indicators (MFA) are designed for the driver's desk. They include all the displays and indicators that the train driver needs, brought together and located centrally in the middle of the driver's desk: instruments for required speed and actual speed, for tractive and braking forces, together with all the indicator lamps needed for driving the train. All of the actuation lines are connected to the train electrical systems via central connectors, thus avoiding the expense of individual wire connections. The modular driver's cab indicators is deployed in several different train safety systems (e.g. LZB (Linear Train Control) and INDUSI (Inductive Signal Protection)), and can be connected to the multi-vehicle bus.
Not only can the MFA be adapted to the electrical characteristics of the train, but its modular hardware and software structure makes it possible to meet other requirements, if needed; for example, mechanical requirements related to shape, casing, colour, type of connector, etc. To facilitate the accommodation of different types of indicator design on trains with modern signalling technology (ATC, ATP), a wide variety of indicators can be installed (e.g. moving-coil mechanisms, stepper-motor devices, digital indicators, bar graphs, compressed air indicators). The advantage of the modular design: rapid adaptation to all the requirements of a railway operation.
DEUTA modular driver's cab indicators are incorporated in many trains with analogue technology, where they are well-proven.
