Hardness tests passed– MFT L11 is well-equipped

DEUTA Multifunction Terminals have once again set the standard regarding reliability and availability - this time with the MFT L11 byc to be exact. It has achieved protection classes IPX6K and IPX9K thanks to a successful outcome in two tests, according to DIN EN 60529.

MFT L11 passes leakage test

In the hardness tests leakage and hot water high pressure were tested. In the leakage test, the MFT L11 was exposed to a strong jet of water. 75 litres of water per minute rained onto the front side of the device under test after which it was carefully dried externally and opened up. This showed that the MFT L11 byc was completely dry inside. Furthermore, the device performed faultlessly in the function test which followed.

Fully functional also after exposure to hot water

Afterwards, the housing was closed up again and the hot water high pressure test was carried out. For this, the lance of the high pressure cleaner was set to a jet angle of 30°, 60° and 90°. The complete front side of the MFT was then drenched in water for 30 seconds at each of these angles. Again, following these component tests, no water was found to have permeated into the interior of the device. The device under test functioned perfectly in the following test.

Both of these tests make it clear once again how reliable DEUTA Multifunction Terminals are.

Even if our customers do not install high pressure cleaners in the driver’s cab – theoretically it would be possible. DEUTA MFTs have demonstrated that they are technologically prepared even for this hardness test.
