MFT report on reliability
Nowadays, the multi-functional terminals are particularly used for displaying
diagnostic data: in some countries, the Electronic Timetable has now replaced the printed version. Certain safety-relevant, real-time travel data (ETCS) can now also be displayed.
Therefore, it is no wonder that manufacturers and operators are not willing to make any compromises with regard to the reliability of the multi-functional terminal. They demand MTBFs that maintain values for more than 100,000 hours and can be used over extreme temperature ranges (the full EN-50155-T3 range), and also require high flexibility when it comes to interfaces (MVB, Profibus, CANBus, RS485, USB, RS422, Ethernet).
Requirements that DEUTA's MFT Geode displays not only meet but even exceed: with an MTBF of 600,000 hours, these displays currently hold the world record in terms of availability and long service life. A success that is no mere coincidence. Finally, DEUTA is also known throught out the world as the pioneer in the development of displays.
DEUTA MFT Geode displays do not only increase the functional safety of locomotives, they also generate enormous saving potentials for both manufacturers and operators due to their above-average MTBF values; the low susceptibility to breakdowns during operation and thus fewer downtimes reduce operating costs over the long run.
Clients all over the world today trust in our displays – and with good reason:
