An Attractive Solution: the Multi-Function Terminal MFT 1

Travel Data Display on Railway Vehicles

The high-performance and compact design of the new multi-function terminal MFT 1 by DEUTA are convincing. An installation depth of merely 44 mm combined with a fanless cooling concept and a large number of communication interfaces on board make the MFT 1 an attractive solution for displaying travel data on railway vehicles.

By taking advantage of the latest “embedded” technology the MFT 1 only requires a few, highly-integrated components on a “single-board computer” – an ideal prerequisite for optimum MTBF and LCC values. And the high-performance MFT 1 can handle highly advanced, ERTMS/ETCS compatible software applications.

Besides the highly integrated processor clocked at 266 MHz, the board holds the power supply, the MVB interface, and all other function groups such as the environment controller. For communications on the railway vehicle there are a number of interfaces available – without interfering with the installation depth of the MFT 1.

The scope of delivery of the MFT 1 includes the real-time operating system: QNX 6.2.1TM. The operating systems LinuxTM, WIN 98TM, WIN XP Embedded TM, and WIN CE.NETTM are also supported.
