With the FgB System Deuta-Werke has developed an innovative system solution that facilitates cost-effective and reliable industrial management. The basic idea is the development and introduction of technical equipment that recognises incorrect actions whilst retaining the responsibility of the operating railwayman, yet stops incorrect actions being performed and prevents immediate dangers within and through the rail system. By using the information and communication technology that is currently available on the market, it is possible to transfer a large part of the control tasks for safeguarding rail traffic from the infrastructure of the lines to the railway traction vehicles.
